The Anti Corner Office

Zeeto Media is all about working hard to play hard

If you want to work at Zeeto Media, one of San Diego’s fastest-rising startups, you absolutely must love dogs. On any given work day, as many as ten pooches can be found lounging on laps or roaming the tech company’s 12,000-square-foot B Street headquarters. Letting employees bring their dogs to work is part of CEO Stephan Goss’s mission to create an environment that makes people excited about coming into work, as well as productive once they arrive—and clearly he’s succeeded.

Aside from an open, collaborative workspace (where Goss has a regular desk among his engineers and data analysts, instead of a separate office), employees have access to a fully stocked kitchen, foosball table, board games, and even an in-house brewery and bar. Zeeto employees also don’t have to worry about taking time to run errands: Breakfast and lunch are catered, and there’s laundry service and a hairstylist. But it’s not all fun and games—Goss works 80 hours a week, and the company was projected to double its 2015 revenue to $65 million—the result of plain old hard work and dedication.

The Wunderkind: Stephan Goss founded Zeeto when he was 22 years old.

Dog Days: Oscar (pictured above, left) and Ross (right) get to join their owners at work at Zeeto.

Award Tour: Zeeto was lauded seven times in 2015, including for best place to work.

Growth Spurt: Named one of the fastest-growing companies in the U.S. by Inc. magazine.

Play Hard: There’s foosball, an in-house brewery, and plenty of board games.
