Meet the Women of Interactive Day San Diego

Here are 5 of the most interesting women speaking in downtown on May 12

Hosted by SDX (formerly the San Diego Ad Club), Interactive Day San Diego brings an impressive speaker roster to downtown on May 12. From advertising gurus to a MasterChef winner, here are some of the buzziest (and busiest) women to catch at the event.

Sally Hogshead

Balboa Theatre, 8-9:15 a.m.
Sally Hogshead will open the event as the first of three keynote speakers throughout the day. The communication expert and award-winning copywriter is also the author of two New York Times bestsellers, including Fascinate: How to Make Your Brand Impossible to Resist. As if these credentials weren’t impressive enough, Hogshead is also a National Speaker Hall of Fame inductee.

Claudia Sandoval

Meads Durket, 3-4 p.m.
The National City native is not just an acclaimed chef, a dedicated philanthropist, and the author of cookbook Claudia’s Cocina. The winner of MasterChef Season 6 is also running a private dining business and is a spokesperson for big name brands like Kellogg’s and Target. She will be speaking as part of the day’s Social Track.

Alison Noel

Underground Elephant, 9:45-10:45 a.m.
As the senior executive producer and director of branded video at BuzzFeed, Noel leads a team of more than 30 creatives that work across multiple platforms. She will be speaking on how she keeps her team inspired, and how BuzzFeed uses data to create viral content.

Loretta Hidalgo Whitesides

Kaaboo Quartyard, 12:15-1:30 p.m.
We already talked about the second keynote speaker of the day in a previous article—but Loretta Hidalgo Whitesides’s resume is just too impressive to not include in this roundup as well. The Virgin Atlantic founding astronaut is currently teaching Jedi Training and writing a book about the power of space. She will be speaking on Authenticity and Vulnerability on the Final Frontier.

Alyson Griffin

San Diego Public Library, Shiley Suite, 9:45-10:45 a.m.
This tech marketing veteran joined Intel in 2016 after 15 years at Hewlett-Packard and. As the VP of global marketing, she’s responsible for the tech giant’s global B2B marketing strategy. Her talk will focus on future-proof content marketing and how to get consumers engaging, sharing, and buying.
