Light sleepers rejoice. Hush, the San Diego startup behind smartphone-connected, white noise pumping, regular noise muting earplugs, is now working with Bose to help you get a better night’s sleep.
Bose was already heading into quieter territory with a similar idea, so picking up the local Kickstarter darling makes sense.
Hush confirmed they’re working on Bose’s noise-masking sleepbuds. “The most intriguing thing to Bose was that we had a near-identical vision to a product concept they were incubating, and consequently had a ton of valuable technical and market learnings from shipping a first-generation product to apply,” says Hush cofounder Daniel “Ewok” Lee.
His fellow cofounder, the similarly named Daniel “Chesong” Lee, is leading app development for the sleepbuds at Bose’s Boston headquarters, according to UC San Diego, their alma mater. A third cofounder, Daniel Synn, left the company a year into the endeavor.
